The Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel (SMART) project consists of a tunnel approximately 10km in length, a holding pond and an attenuation pond to provide flood relief from the Klang river and the Ampang river. The centre section, which is approximately 3 km in length, is designed to be a dual purpose tunnel carrying traffic during periods when the main tunnel is not used for flood control.
